ABOUT ELECTRIC MAGNOLIA

CREATIVE PHOTO + VIDEO + DESIGN

This small business started out in 2012 as just one videographer in the music industry under the former name Carly Viator Media. Projects included the production of music videos, band photos, album artwork, and flyer designs. After exploring design for the marketing world, Electric Magnolia was born. We have evolved into a diverse, full-service creative media studio that works with businesses, artists, festivals, events, and families to create compelling and creative content.

We are a husband and wife team with diverse skillsets that come together to form a unique business. Our company also serves as an umbrella for other creative freelancers. We now have a strong team of highly skilled photographers, videographers, and designers that we collaborate with. No day is ever the same and this is why we love what we do. Let us build your entire concept - from logos, images, and videos to beautiful websites.

CARLY VIATOR

OWNER + camera + design + EVENTS

Carly Viator was raised outside of Nashville in the small country town of Portland. At age 19, she moved to Louisiana to explore her family’s roots that she had only experienced in the walls of her childhood home. She received a degree in Broadcast Communication from the University of Louisiana with an emphasis on digital media, film, language and culture.

After years of freelancing for bands and marketing firms around New Orleans, Carly and her husband, Kelley, decided to hit the gas and start their own agency near home, and so Electric Magnolia Studio was born. This agency has worked hard to become a go-to for Louisiana music festivals in need of media and marketing services.

Carly is also a staff member for Festival International de Louisiane, the largest international music and arts festival in the US. Working with Festival International allows Carly to incorporate a broad skillset of digital media production, speak French, work with music, and experience cultures from around the world.

Kelley is a man of many skills. As a licensed architect, he has a keen eye for design and problem solving. Kelley also runs his own firm, E+M Architecture, which is an umbrella of Electric Magnolia Studio. His firm has built an impressive portfolio of local designs, both residential and commercial.

As a co-founder of Electric Magnolia Studio, Kelley offers graphic and web design assistance, operates cameras, and assists with client consultations. His experience is highly valued in the agency, but most of his time these days is focused on E+M.

Outside of work, Kelley is also a musician, chef, and culture/language enthusiast.  He is always working on something!
